- Quite a lot of help on Plexel and making websites.
Uploading Pages.
The normal method of operation is to do your daily new pages and then do Paste + Upload: Changed files in folder + OK at the end of the day. That is all you normally should be doing. Maybe you would also do the odd Paste + Upload: Display page + OK just to test something. SEE BOX AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
If you have a problem with the online site not matching your offline site then it is usually sufficient to do Paste + Upload: All HTML files in folder & subfolders + OK. This will upload all the HTML files and ignore the images thus saving you an awful lot of upload time. However if some of the online images do not match the offline ones then you would have to do:- Paste + Mark Changed: Folder + OK and then Paste + Upload: Changed files in folder + OK This will upload everything but is very time consuming. Only mark folder changed if absolutely necessary. It means you will have to upload everything. Use Paste + Mark uploaded: Folder with caution, if you do this then any changes you have done will be forgotten and the online site may not match the offline one, maybe you have been doing this? I do not recommend uploading individual pages one by one for the whole site! Never do this because it is very time consuming and we are paying for that time. Plus it is not necessary since Paste + Upload: All HTML files in folder & subfolders + OK will do the same anyway. Please get into the habit of uploading changed files regularly, at least once a day. That way your online site should always be very close to your offline one. The normal method of operation is to do your daily new pages and then do Paste + Upload: Changed files in folder + OK at the end of the day. That is all you normally should be doing. Maybe you would also do the odd Paste + Upload: Display page + OK just to test something. You would not normally Mark anything either uploaded or changed. Use these with caution.
