It is possible to determine the user screen size using javascript but it would need something intelligent on the server to do this and send the user an appropriate page. Plexel just uploads dumb pages so it tries to write an adaptable page to suit all screen sizes 800x600 and above. For those with very old screens below 800x600 resolution our pages will require scrolling to the right to see the whole page in many cases. So the whole page is always viewable it is just that left-right scrolling is undesirable. The 'industry standard' is 800x600 now but it used to be 640x480.
