Return Receipts.
The box below details our return receipts and white list system for seaMonkey email.
There are several places where you can set return receipts in seaMonkey. 1. You can set them overall in Edit + Preferences + Mail & Newsgroups + Return Receipts. I think this may apply to the "Local Folders" email account. 2. Alternatively you can set them for each email account using Window + Mail & Newsgroups + Edit + Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings + Click Return Receipts for the particular account. It is number 2 you must do for your main plexel email account. You should have:- Customise return receipts Selected When sending messages, always request a return receipt.. Ticked Move it to my Sent folder Selected Allow return receipts for some messages Selected If I'm not in the To or CC of the message Ask me If the sender is outside my domain Always Send In all other cases Always Send If you are receiving junk mail for this email account then please use a white list as detailed below. This means that only email from plexel people or a few selected others will get through. Then use another plexel account for other email that may get junk but don't set return receipts. The last thing you want to do is to send return receipts to any spammers who request them! To setup a white list --------------------- Window + Mail & Newsgroups + Tools + Message Filters Filters For = your main plexel email account New + Filter Name = Whitelist (or another name if you like) Select "Match all of the following" Now you setup a list of approved email addresses or part addresses. Click the + icon to add another. For example:- From | Doesn't contain | plexel.com From | Doesn't contain | bill@gates.com From | doesn't contain | tera-byte.com . . etc Under "Perform these actions" select "Delete Message". So any incoming email which is not from one in the list gets deleted.
