Google Channel Numbers.
We are not using channel numbers anymore since Google introduced direct domain name monitoring. ----------- Old Text ---------- The channel number allows us to monitor the hits (and revenue) on google. First create a google channel number for the particular site then the channel numbers have to be added to all the pages in the site and the pages uploaded. Once that is done google can then start producing statistics for the particular site. SEE BOX AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
CREATING THE CHANNEL NUMBER IN GOOGLE ------------------------------------- Example for swimmingPoolz.com Login to google and select:- 'Ad settings', then scroll down and click 'Manage Channels' then type in 'swimmingPoolz' to the create new channel box, then click Edit/Activate Channel. Then click 'Continue to Ad layout'. Scroll down to where it says 'Manage Channels' again and select swimmingPoolz in the drop down list just above where it says 'Manage Channels'. Now scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see the channel number in a line similar to this:- google_ad_channel ="3445888144"; in this example the channel number is 3445888144. Send the channel number to the administrator and he can add it to all the pages in the site automatically. With this information plus the swimmingPoolz.com domain pointing to tera-byte the administrator can then do all the rest. ADDING THE CHANNEL NUMBER TO ALL THE PAGES IN THE SITE ------------------------------------------------------ change a line at the bottom of the template file i.e. from this:- First from any page in the site do Load + Template: Edit. This should bring up the HTML of the template. Scroll right down to the bottom then alter:- <!--inc temSky.htm, | $bgColor:white/inc--> </BODY> </HTML> to this:- <!--inc temSky.htm, | $adChannel:0629311912, | $bgColor:white/inc--> </BODY> </HTML> Then please do Utility + Replace template + throughout folder + OK and upload changes.
